Opening 2026–2027

Your personal optical lab. Built for clarity, trust, and real communication.

The Optic Forge is being built around community, clarity, and taking care of people — whether you’re a doctor who wants a reliable lab partner, or a customer who wants honest guidance and better outcomes. We’re online-only and lab-only, so the focus stays where it should: the work, the communication, and the final result.

Right now we’re lenses-only (no frames yet). We are actively exploring frames for the future — but we’re building the lab foundation first so quality stays consistent.

The difference:

We treat every order like it’s for someone we know. That means real attention, clear answers, and a “personal lab” experience — not a handoff to a faceless system. As we grow, we reinvest into better equipment, more efficient processes, and stronger service — so the better we do, the better we can serve you.

Transparency you can actually see:

We plan to live stream lab work and behind-the-scenes processes for clarity and education — and we’re building a system where customers can check in on lens progress as their order moves through stages.

The Optic Forge Philosophy

At its core, The Optic Forge is about being your personal lab — giving customers and doctor offices the service, communication, and care they deserve. We believe people should feel connected to the process, not shut out from it.

That means a more direct line between the lab, the customer, and the practice. Clear answers, honest communication, and transparency are not extras to us — they are part of the foundation. You should know what you’re getting, why it was chosen, and what goes into making it.

That’s also why we plan to live stream parts of our workflow and educate along the way. We want to help open up a side of optics that has been closed off for too long, and build a stronger community around clarity, craftsmanship, and understanding.

Our goal is simple: make the process more personal, more honest, and more transparent — while delivering work we’re proud to stand behind.

If it’s not right, it doesn’t ship — period.

For doctors & practices

Interested in a lab partner? We’d love to connect. If you’re looking for clear communication, reliable turnaround expectations, and a lab that treats your patients like people, email us and we can discuss what works best for your practice.

What a partnership could look like
We’ll talk through your practice needs, common job types, how you prefer to communicate, and what your patients expect. The goal is simple: better consistency, fewer surprises, and a smoother experience for your team and your patients.
How we handle communication
We’re building around transparency: clear updates, quick answers, and practical solutions on difficult jobs — not silence, not guessing, and not “wait and see.”

Cosplay, creators, streamers & influencers

We’d love to work with cosplayers and creators on prescription or plano lenses for costume frames and custom looks. Since we’re online-only, we’ll set up a video call and have you send photos of the frame or what you’re trying to build. If it’s realistic and safe to do, we’ll help you plan it and make the look complete — without sacrificing comfort or visibility.

Prescription lenses for costume frames
We’ll talk through lens thickness, clarity, comfort, and what will work best for photos and all-day wear. Send frame photos, model info (if available), and your goals — we’ll tell you what’s possible and what tradeoffs to expect.
Plano lenses (non-Rx) for style or safety
Plano lenses can protect your eyes, finish the character, and reduce discomfort from wind/dust. We can guide you on finishes and tints that match the vibe and lighting.
Reducing reflections on camera
Tell us your setup (ring light, stage lighting, softbox), and we’ll recommend options to reduce distracting reflections.

Sports & active lifestyles

Got questions about lenses for your activity? We’ll work with you to pick the right material, coatings, and tint options — and we’ll explain the tradeoffs clearly.

“What’s best for my sport?”
We’ll ask practical questions about lighting, fogging/sweat, indoor/outdoor transitions, and impact risk. Then we’ll recommend a lens plan that fits what you actually do.
Frame alignment & care (remote)
We can’t fit frames on your face in person — but we can help you get closer remotely. We’ll guide you through basic alignment checks, cleaning best practices, and care tips so your glasses feel better and last longer.
Wrap frames / sport goggles
Many are possible. If you share the frame model (or link), we’ll tell you what’s realistic and what compromises to expect.

Questions

We’ll keep this simple and transparent — here are a few common ones.

Are you online-only?
Yes — online-first and lab-focused. That lets us keep the experience clean and the communication direct.
Do you sell frames?
Not right now — we’re lenses-only while we build the lab foundation. Frames are something we’re exploring for the future once we can do it without compromising quality or service.
How will shipping work when you open?
We’re planning a clean, simple process with clear instructions and strong communication from start to finish. Details will be posted as we lock in launch systems.
When are you opening?
Target is 2026–2027, depending on build progress. We’ll post updates as milestones lock in.
Will you really live stream?
Yes — we plan to share the lab process openly for clarity and education, and to help people understand what goes into quality lenses. We’re also building better visibility into order progress so customers can follow along without guessing.
